Office Style

In Midtown Manhattan, SOM created a space for Penske Media Corporation to call home. The transformational design for the global company’s New York headquarters conveys a uniform spatial identity that also celebrates PMC’s 24 diverse brands. A stripped-down look and minimal color palette allow each media brand, including Women’s Wear Daily and Variety, to be expressed within its own workspace, while exposed ceilings, polished concrete floors, and white painted walls and columns express the building’s raw architecture. The circulation design throughout four discontinuous floors, and placement of all communal areas on a single floor, offer a unified and collaborative environment for Penske employees.
